Eric Barberio
Eric is President of the class action and mass tort administration business lines, including the core brands of KCC, Gilardi & Co. and RicePoint, a Computershare company. As subsidiaries of Computershare, a multi-billion dollar global financial and business service company, each brand provides unique and superior service to their clients and ultimately to the claimants they serve. Eric is responsible for the domestic and global growth of legal administration and support services in the class action and mass tort space, including strategy and operational delivery. Through the service brands, Computershare has handled thousands of cases serving millions of claimants and over $1 trillion in distributions in 2019.
Prior to joining Computershare, Eric was Vice President of Finance and Claims Operations at Paradigm, a large-scale national leader in workers compensation medical claims management. He was responsible for the financial and accounting operations, medical claims management and risk. Prior to that he was the Founder and Managing Partner of EBMI Management Consultants, a boutique consulting and professional services firm that focused on Fortune 1000 clients, including AutoNation, Tyco, Coinstar and Covidien, providing accounting and financial operation expertise, audit, technology and business process improvement services both domestically and globally.
Eric has over 20 years of experience in the areas of operations, accounting, information technology, compliance, and business process improvement in large and growing organizations. He was the interim CFO of Kemper Insurance’s largest division (now Broadspire) prior to moving into the management consulting industry. Over the course of eight years, Broadspire grew at a rate of over 50% per year during his tenure reaching roughly $800M in claims volume. Eric has written several articles on accounting, leadership, technology and process improvement lifecycles and he speaks regularly at corporations, universities and organizations, such as the FICPA and IMA. He is an advisor to Board of Directors in the areas of accounting operations and corporate governance.
He holds a Post Graduate degree from the University of Oxford (Said Business School) in Global Business and Finance; an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University; a BBA in Finance from Florida International University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
